Essence d’Angkor
The heart of Essence d’Angkor is the beautiful aroma of wild Cambodian oud, sourced from the deep jungles of the Angkor region. Dark, resinous and deeply complex, it possesses an unmistakable character that carries through the entire composition.
Ylang-ylang, tuberose and champaca weave through the darkness with a narcotic, exotic floral richness, tempered by the cool aromatic clarity of lavender and the dry, cooling spice of cardamom.
Patchouli and oakmoss bring a deep green, earthy quality, while Indonesian sandalwood and Atlas cedar form a smooth, woody structure beneath the oud.
Darkness is prominent, but there is also restraint. The florals remain delicate against the weight of the woods, the moss lends depth without heaviness, and the oud is allowed to retain its raw, enigmatic character.
